Procrastination

Do you procrastinate?
Well, I didn’t used to procrastinate, but cleaning my brushes and stencils after I’m done creating has not happened in a while. I tell myself tomorrow I will take time and wash them all. Tomorrow comes and goes and my stencil stack gets bigger.
Periodically I would wash my brushes (most of the time when I ran out of clean brushes) and cleaned just enough to get by or make do. My pile of brushes and stencils was overwhelming. I couldn’t find stencils I knew I had because they were in the dirty stack. My kitchen counter was running of with stencils and brushes. HELP, I needed help! Lord please help me get a handle on this.
Then came the point of I need to do something! So one day after my FB live I washed that set of brushes and stencils and a few more brushes. The next time I did the same, adding a few more brushes. Then I took an afternoon and set a time limit, I was going to clean my brushes for one hour. And so little by little, step by step I worked away on that pile of dirty brushes and stencils. My stack got smaller and smaller until one day last week I actually saw my counter again. Total excitement. This made me so happy, I felt accomplished! Thank you Lord!
If you are overwhelmed with a task, whatever it may be, don’t try to tackle it all at once and give up. Take small steps, do a little at a time and next time do a little more. Whatever it is take it one bite at a time and be consistant, keep going and before long you will be able to celebrate a win. You Can Accomplish This! You Got This! Trust God, He will be right there with you one step at time.
